Do you know what this flower is and how to make it?

I have been asked by a bride to be if I could make this cake for her but I do not recognise this flower...can anyone help? I am thinking maybe it is a fantasy flower and possibly made ]using individual wired rose petals but without the rose centre. I have asked a cople of other cake decorators but no one else can recognise it either. I am not very advanced in flower making, can do roses and some ruffled flowers but not so sure about this one. Any help would be much appreciated! Unfortunately I don't have a clearer pic than this and can't find the original online to see if there is any better description of the cake or its origins. I can't post a pic to the thread but here is a link.

Looks like a gardenia to me, sorry I dont have directions.  HTH

Those also could be magnolia petals on the outside and a generic rosebud in the middle.

 

To find directions: USE GOOGLE and type "magnolia gumpaste flower" you will see many options.

Thank you so much for your help! With your suggestions I was able to google gardenia and magnolia cakes and found another picture of the same cake labelled as a gardenia cake! and it is a much clearer image...thank you again!

You can also make those with a basic rose for the center, then inserting extra petals behind the flower. Easy.

Also FYI if you're ever looking for a larger/higher resolution image of a cake you see online and want to identify the original cake artist, Google Images http://www.google.com/imghp is FANTASTIC for that.
