I had some problems with my Canon MP560 printer not rendering colors correctly, so I ditched the set of spongeless cartridges I had in it and installed all new cartridges.
Unfortunately, the problem was not with the cartridges but rather Windows' color rendering something-or-other. Fortunately, I was able to correct the Windows problem but incurred the undue expense of installing new ink cartridges.
Since installing the new cartridges, I've noticed that the color red prints vibrant and beautiful but quickly fades into darn near Longhorn burnt orange.
A couple of weeks ago I had a client order a Texans playoffs cake so I went online, found the correct Pantone number for the Texans' red and blue colors, and printed a beautiful image and lettering in those colors, which were perfect right out of the printer.
An hour later, the red had faded to that orange color.
Not sure what the deal is, but I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this and has any idea what the cause (and solution!) might be.
Thanks!
