So, I just bought a 12 by 18 in cake pan from Walmart for a cake I have to make to feed 50 people, but I don't know how many cake mixes I'm supposed to put into the darn thing! I looked at the instructions and everything but no where did it say how many cake mixes. I'm guessing like 1 1/2-2 cake mixes but I'm not sure. Can anyone help me?? It would really be nice! Because I have to make it by monday! :P

When i use a box mix, i make the cake mix extender recipes. I have always made 3(now the cake mixes don,t have as much as they use to) I fill it 2/3 full and any left over, i make it into cupcakes(that way i know what the cake taste like also. If you just use the mix itself. i definetly would use 3  boxes. hth
