Hello everyone

Preparing for my first sheet cake.  Before I start, has anyone ever used the Magic Line 16X24 sheet cake pan? Is this size pan considered a "full sheet " cake pan? And if so, how did your cake turn out?  Will the size pan fit into a standard (home) oven and how long should it bake for?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks a million in advance!

interestingly enough my supposed to be 24x16x3 cake pan is really 23x15x3--

geez those guys that made my pans were off in so many ways--anyhow

this unique pan of mine does actually fit in my home oven and i never knew it till just now because i knew the size pan i ordered would not fit--anyhow

no that size 16x24 is probably just a bit too large for a home oven plus in all likelihood it would bake poorly because the heat would not distribute well with the perimeter of the pan being the same size as the oven itself--no where for hot air to circulate

a traditional sheet pan is 18x26

just bake it till it's done (if it fits in your oven that is ;) because it depends on how much batter you use and etc.

good luck and best baking!

Most of us use a pan that is 12x16x2 OR 12x18x2 and bake up two of them to put on one board side by side.  2 of  the 12x16s fit on a full size cake board which fits in the full sheet box.  The 12x18s leave you NO room for a bottom border :(

I rather doubt your pan is going to fit in your kitchen oven.  If the pan is 3" deep it will take up to 2 hrs to bake.
