Canon MG5250 Edbile rice paper settings

hi everyone

 

I have a new canon mg5250 printer to print on rice paper, I have this set up as

matt photo paper/high quality/abrasion on/top feed in

 

Now the problem I have is every so often (quite random 2nd, 5th, 6th print) the paper does not feed in correctly and can here the rollers slip for a split second, then when the print comes out the top 1 inch of the image has been cut off (due to the slip i assume)

Can anyone recommend a setting change to rectify this annoying problem or has anyone else had this problem

Feed the paper from the other end.  It may have become curled in storage--even heavy paper paper does this when it's humid here.

 

If that doesn't work, then GENTLY push the free end of the paper right after you click "print" so that it engages into the rollers.

 

If you have to persuade each sheet with your fingers, go back to "settings" and select "card stock" if it is available.  Also select "preview"  so that you get the chance to get your fingers in place before the printer starts to print each sheet.

Are you having the same problem if you put regular paper in?

Also, change your paper setting to Matte paper, STANDARD quality, not high...
