How about an ABC? 2 of everything is simple and delicious.
2 cups butter
2 cups shortening (Crisco)
2 Tablespoons flavoring (can be any you want or combination, which is highly suggested)
2 pounds powder sugar.
*Nothing else * is used in this recipe.
Cream butter & shortening well - up to 10 minutes. Add about 1/3 or the sugar; cream 10 minutes; add another 1/3 of the sugar and the flavoring; cream 10 minutes. Add remaining sugar and cream another 10 minutes.
This is a NON crusting recipe.
If you need/want it to crust, just reduce the butter OR Crisco by 1 cup OR reduce *each* by 1/2 cup.

I would rather make 1 cake for $150, than 3 for $50 each.
The person who works for nothing will always have plenty to do!
My sarcasm is good-humored. People generally really like me, in person ;-)
