i just can't get away from the idea of the long fringe on a flapper dress even though it's for a guy
maybe tinged with a few drops of blood to represent the murder/mystery angle
what about a round cake that looks like a table scene
the tablecloth has real long fringe--maybe over another (patterned?) tablecloth
food on plates
a candelabra to add some drama
the idea of speakeasy might work in there somehow
bootleg booze
maybe the tablecloth is pulled off and the table service is all askew
and there's a hand clutching the tablecloth
where the rest of the 'body' (the murdered guy) is under the table
and he just clutched the table cloth on his way down
show a french cuff and cuff links and a black suit jacket cuff
and maybe a few drops of well placed blood???
coupla shoes coming out the other side???
