those ach transactions can go downhill and be reversed for quite a period of time

 

i've had a check reverse like this on me almost a month later (grr)

 

going directly to the bank the check was drawn on usually cancels/precludes any attempt to get the funds reverted

 

because they are gone--no way to reverse it

 

because you went through your own bank account the long arm of (the feds who run the transactions) his bank can still yank the money back through your account but i've never heard of them yanking the cash out of your hand

 

so you might wanna wait to spend it maybe

 

he seems a little driven

"The cake was dry" is the common complaint for people who want to scam a refund out of you. That's the latest thing this past year from what I hear from a lot of people, so you're not alone. I call it "discount by complaint." First of all thank you soooo much! I was very depressed when I went through this problem. I was humiliated when I delivered the cake, and the complained. And it was my first cake order for the year. I actually doubted my skills too.

 

My husband and all the posters here encouraged me and I went ahead. Since then I did 5 cakes. Everyone of the customers liked their cakes. And most of them paid at least few dollars more when they saw the cake. Whenever they send me a text or an email saying how much they loved the cake, my husband reminds me how i wanted to quit. 

 

That man was a jerk. I know he robbed me. but he taught me few lessons. Now I measure all my cakes, level the cakes, and check every inch before it leaves my place. there isn't a single day that I don't think about it. I know I need to get over it. Over the time it will happen.
