masonite is industry standard--awesome material for cake boards
an idea for you is to purchase it locally and have it cut to order
not sure what's around white earth nd but just a thought
hardware store or lumber store should have it
but it think 'white earth' is the most beautiful name of a city!
We've been using masonite boards from CK for years and I recommend them.

The boards are very sturdy--the ones I've ordered are a brown color, so I still have to cover them with something to make them look nice, They're also thin--3/16", so not enough room to put a ribbon around the edge, so have a hard time making that edge look good. My CK shipping costs have really skyrocketed the last few months, and every time I've ordered 1 or 2 boards, they've sent them as a separate box, which means shipping is around
$10.
I switched to the cake drums--I don't have to cover them with fondant if I don't want, edge is wide enough to add ribbon (or not), and sturdy. Problem is you have to order 5 or 6 of one size.
I buy mine at the mat maker Sweetwise. :) I had 3 of mine turned into a cupcake stand by a friend at work and he told me that it looked just like MDF. I'm going to be buying a sheet of that and get it chopped up into several sizes for me, especially recatangles because the store where I bought the rounds and squares don't have rectangle ones.
I am not sure if Sweetwise sells the masonite boards online or not.
