This cake is from awhile ago. I was so excited that I had got a stencil and really wanted to use it.
I hadn't done it before and stupidly did it straight on the cake. It was supposed to be a white cake with a black stencil pattern. However when I took the stencil off, the pattern had smudged all over the cake.
Being stressed out I cracked it and went to bed. Not sure how I was going to fix it, I woke up the next morning and looked to see if I had any other fondant (I was at my mums house and only had limited supplies). I only had red, luckily it matched the roses I had made. I made a wrap and luckily it worked out well. It is still one of my favorite cakes.

I think the finished cake is even more beautiful with the red. Perhaps it was meant to be! icon_smile.gif

Thanks everyone! Yes I am very glad that I ended up using the red, it brings it all together.
