Look I was making this

But I skipped sauce part, because I was not sure if 2 and a half cups of water was the right amount. Isn't it too much??
But also without the sauce as a result I got a sponge like cake, or muffin.. however you call it. As I see in a pic it should be quite moist enough, so I'm confused, but I still think that 2 1/2 cups of water would ruin my baking...
