i don' t remember a sculpture like that exactly but it sounds like a cool idea

i know i've done drawings similar

so is the handle sticking up or touching the cake board--i'm getting myself lost in the upside down part

so the boxes are made of cake or do they contain cake?

cool idea--for a shower, no doubt

I made a shower cake with an upside-down umbrella theme a year ago.  I made the umbrella out of RKT and covered it with candy clay and left it to dry with the umbrella open-side down so the points of the umbrella would harden.  I covered a plastic dowel with the same candy clay and pushed that into the center of the umbrella.  The whole umbrella was then turned upside down, put on top of a cardboard cake round, filled with RKT kewpie dolls and set atop a 12 inch round cake.  With plenty of dowels under the umbrella for support.  Should be in my photos.  Hope this helps!
