I have been asked to make a bagpipe cake, does anyone have any ideas of how to make the pipes?
Many cakes I've seen people have used wooden dowels and covered them in black fondant, or used just black rods etc.
I lie to make all my caked edible though so I'm a bit stuck. I'm worried if I just use fondant they will not be very uniform and they may also sag if I have them coming out of the bagpipe. I'd have to have them completely flat on the cake board which isn't totally realistic.
