REFUNDING UPSET CUSTOMERS - Page 3

Ok Folks,

Today is D-day. I am praying that there is not confrontation in that bank. I understand a lot of you think I should NOT give the refund because they got what they asked for. I am going to walk in there with a ruler also. I might rethink that part because that might be rude. It is 5am here, way too early to be up worrying about some stupid people who probably still in their beds.

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!!!!  

So I got to the bank and I met up with the lady who I was liaising with. I walked with an excel sheet of all the orders and was ready. Ended up that only ONE person wanted a refund.

When we delivered the cakes on Friday, the person who I was dealing with (Let's call her Ms. N) skipped work that day so she put another woman in charge of collecting the orders (Ms. Z). Z also had ordered a cake and I guess when she saw it she decided that 6 inches was too small so she started to rant and rave and called Ms N to complain.

THEN Ms N called me to say that nobody wanted the cakes. Turns out that horrible Ms Z didn't even tell some of the other customers that the cakes had arrived. I guess she was too busy ranting.

So when I get there to deal with Ms N there are still cakes sitting there but when she calls the others who ordered they just come and pick up the cakes with no hassle. They did not even know the cakes where there. I took back Ms Z cake and that is the end of the story. 

I learned A LOT.

Thank you. Because of all the work I did on ppls orders I am NOW starting my Christmas working. Baking for the family and cleaning etc. This is one Christmas I will never forget.

On Friday my husband dropped the cakes to the bank because I was busy finishing up the Wedding cakes for the same day. When I called him today and told him  that Ms Z was the whole problem he said she did have an attitude when he dropped it off. She was just like "Put it there" and handed him the money. Didn't even check it. I should not have let one idiot stress me out for real. 

Oh and yesterday a friend called and asked me if I had any cakes left. YES I DO. He is getting Ms Z cake. lol. The good thing about these sort of cakes is that the longer they soak the better it tastes. If it was a chocolate cake or something else he would have been out of luck. Everything turned out perfectly. . Now I can move on and enjoy my Christmas and do some baking for my family. Also, when I asked Ms N why she did not answer her phone all weekend she said it fell in water. . Don't know if to believe that or not but it's over now so who cares. 

Thanks EVERYONE for all your kind words and support. I don't know what I would have done without you guys. It's like having backup right there with me. You guys don't know how much you have helped. I hope next Christmas I am not on here crying about some other tragedy. lol.
