Looking for some different ideas to pipe on Yule logs. Does anyone have some different ideas besides the poinsettia, wreath and candles? If you do please post with how too's.

TIA,

Meringue mushrooms. Most Julia Child books. No flowers at all.

Plus maybe a marzipan squirrel if you like to spend the time.

Why don't you google yule log cakes, and see if anything strikes your fancy. And then from there, you can google tutorials for what you see!

Well, all good things must come to an end sometimes. Hey, is that a cake?

I have done pine cones. Striped my buttercream bag with white and then a chocolate or brown buttercream. Used my stick and piped like i was doing a rose except go down the stick instead. Holy.  I use meringue mushrooms also.
