Gluten Free Cheescake Please
Baking By sarascakecreations Updated 4 Jul 2013 , 1:39pm by live laugh cake
Hello,
I've used the search engines but I can't find anything.,.,
I'm looking for a gluten free cheesecake to bake for Christmas... any help would be much appreciated!
Sara
Annalise Roberts has printed a couple of books full of gluten free baking recipes. Check online at your usual book supplier or at your local public library.
Or try google "gluten free cheesecake" and see what happens.
AThanks, definitely something I will do in the future, although with Christmas days away I'm kind of on a time crunch to be looking for a book, although maybe I'll google it....
Anyone else might have a recipe to share?
Sara
To repeat: go to google and rype "gluten free cheesecake" there are large numbers of recipes online, take your pick.
FYI the Cake Central search engines are a lot worse with the new website, so you MUST use google top find anything useful. If you type a search term and add the words cake central, you get the CC links ahead of others.
Typically, the only source of gluten in cheesecake (the crust is another matter) is some flour. You can directly sub cornstarch (use half the amount) in a recipe you already love (or find online if you don't have one at all) and you're golden!
You can bake it crustless or I'm sure you can buy GF oreos (or whatever) and make a very similar crust to the norm.
AThis is whatI make and it is always a big hit!
