Getting Nervous! Need Advice On Rkt Please.

I had planned on making a couple of cakes for this weekend, and wanted to make them 'layered' cakes, by using rice krispy treats to make the top layers. Will this work if it is covered with a crusting buttercream frosting? I do not use fondant.
Thanks.
Sure that will work but it would be very difficult to slice--would tear up the cake.
You could preslice them but they kind of grow back together.
I guess I wrote that wrong now that I am looking at it. I want to do the bottom cake as cake (two layers) and then have the rkt as a smaller top tier. So that could be removed for cutting the actual cake.
I have never seen rkt buttercream frosted. I was wondering if it would look really bad?
AWith enough buttercream you can make a round cake square. :) so I think you should be fine!!
