HI, I am very new to this whole sceen and I am having the worst luck with a good vanilla cake recipe. I have googled recipes for vanilla cake and everyone I do seems to come out too dry! I do other flavors and they always come out perfect. I cant figure out what I am doing wrong. Any suggestions or good recipes someone would be willing to share? Thanks

Egg, Sugar and little shortening can lead to a dry cake. Under beating your batter can also lead to a cake that will crumble. Also if your pan is large and you don't have enough batter to compensate your cake may over process causing it to be tough or crumble. There could be a lot of different reasons but just remember one thing everyones kitchens, ovens, temperatures, climates etc are all different. Even the most skilled baker had to try over and over and over until they got the perfect result that was consistent.
