I have no system for recording my orders, scheduling them and reminding myself when to start baking, beyond paper and pencil. so far, no mistakes, but I really need a better system. Especially if there is something that will also help me organize my purchasing

what do you use?

ARight now I use Google Calendar to schedule my appointments. You can also break down what you need to do each day and place it as separate appointment on the calendar.

I have Cake Boss and I really like it. It helps me operate brainlessly. It does all the thinking for me.

Well worth the small investment for what you are getting. The customer service is prompt and good, excellent.

AWe use QuickBooks for invoices and a rolling Word document for scheduling. Unless you hire an accountant you will need your data in a program like QuickBooks anyway to do your taxes.
