AI have a silly question... Can you still make these buttercreams if you don't have a wire wisk attachment? I would like to try making one of them but all I have is the standered beaters. If you can use the standard beater does one BC work better than the other this way?

Thanks

Yes you can make them with a hand held mixer. I think smbc is easier than imbc. But probably the people who make imbc all the time think that one is easier. For imbc you have to pour a hot sugar mixture into the whipped egg whites while you mix so it would be easier to have someone help you to do that one. But yes you could certainly make them. And I hope Santa brings you a stand mixer for Christmas or any other excuse.

AThanks! I've been wanting to try them. Now that I know that I can I'll be baking this weekend.

Edited to say: Not sure what happened to the other post that was here, but it said yes I could do them with a handheld mixer.
