SMBC and IMBC Question

I have a silly question... Can you still make these buttercreams if you don't have a wire wisk attachment? I would like to try making one of them but all I have is the standered beaters. If you can use the standard beater does one BC work better than the other this way?

Thanks! I've been wanting to try them. Now that I know that I can I'll be baking this weekend.


Edited to say:
Not sure what happened to the other post that was here, but it said yes I could do them with a handheld mixer.
