Im making a cake for my daughter's birthday on Sunday. I don't have a lot of time this week so I'm trying to do as much ahead of time as possible. I baked and froze the cakes today, being Monday. So I want to know how far ahead can I put my crumb coat on? Also is it better off at room temp or in the fridge? I was hoping I could make all the decorations tues -wed, defrost and crumb coat on thurs, fondant and assemble on Friday (at this point it won't fit in my fridge) and decorate on Saturday, ready to go on Sunday...is this wishful thinking? Thanks in advance.
