Today I was airbrushing a cake and didn't wait until the buttercream was fully crusted. I have had success in the past with airbrushing crusting buttercream, but today it started beading up all over the cake. I stopped airbrushing in hopes it would dry but is there anyway to get rid of the beading???

you can take a kleenex and gently blot it, or hold a corner of a paper towel up to the beads to suck them up. Airbrushing on buttercream will always run the risk of it beading up because the oils in the icing resist the water in the airbrush color. It might have had more to do with just putting too much color on it, rather than the icing being crusted or not.
