I need help coming up with a desighn.....

I've been asked to make a cake for a church paster 10 yr anniversay that likes hunting and fishing and they would like to include all of that in the design of the cake.  I'm not sure how to do that and make it look right. Any suggestions?

First thought was round cake with camouflage around the side edges and top of cake blue, like water, edge with rocks and have a fish coming up out of the water. Lots of ways you could incorporate the two themes.

JanDunlevy, I've thought about doing something like that but maybe put a royal icing church on top.  Do you think that would look right?

If the cake is big enough, I think a church with a pond beside it would be awesome!

JanDunlevy, I think it's going to be plenty big enough for something like that,   100 + servings.    Thank you for your in-put.

I was going to suggest a church too with perhaps a gingerbread steeple and stained glass windows designed to incorperate the hunting and fishing theme.

 

You could do one huge stained glass window with a lot of detail, fishing hunting, a little church... you could even use sugar glass or marbled fondant, and modelling chocolate for the 'lead'

 

These are likely copyrighted but may help with inspiration :)

Alene! That is gorgeous! I am making a cake for my grandpa in January who is a pastor, farmer, fisher. May I use your design!? If so would you mind private messaging me about the church, fish, nd trees!? I'd greatly appreciate it!

That cake is beautiful!!! Love the flow of the cake from the church to the deer to the waterfall and fish!! Pretty awesome looking!!!

Absolutely stunning!!! Great tie-in with the "flow" of the theme, literally. Church is magnificent.
