AWhen it comes to cupcakes for a wedding do you charge a different price or is it the same price as your normal cupcakes?
ASame price if the cost is the same (in terms of ingredients and design), but usually cupcakes for weddings end up being more expensive because they are more elaborate.
You should charge a little bit more just in case it's an elaborate cupcake (with fondant ruffles, modelated figures...).
Same price. I have a base price, then add-ons for fillings, premium flavors, fondant toppers, etc. But that applies to whatever the occasion is - a baby shower with 4 dozen fondant monkeys could take longer than simple flowers on wedding cupcakes.
All my cupcakes start at the same price for a swirl of icing and sprinkles. Any other decorations are on an individual basis - depending upon how much time I estimate the order will take for completion.
Why should 'wedding' cupcakes be priced any differently from 'regular' cupcakes. I've had plenty of weddings where the couple ordered frosting and sprinkles. Should I then charge a 'wedding' price even though they ordered the most basic cupcakes I do?
I completely agree with Godot. Cupcakes are cupcakes. Extra charges are appropriate when there are elaborate decorations or extra ingredients which cost you extra time and money.
