Making Fondant Look Like Stone?

Thank you so much for your reply! I saw that thread, but is seemed to have talked more about small rocks and not about how to get texture on a stone wall. I appreciate the link you provided!

If I had to do this, I might try rolling out the fondant, then take a crumpled brown paper grocery bag and make impressions in the fondant.
I just read this thread as I was making my son's Power of Portal Skylanders cake. The crumpled brown bag approach worked great!!! I used homemade fondant and I think it turned out pretty good. It's difficult to see in the picture, but the texture was perfect. Then I added depth by using black food coloring deluted with water to paint the cracks of the stone. I am an amature and this cake isn't perfect, but my son is thrilled!
