One of the premier wedding planners in my area just contacted me about showcasing my work at a huge holiday bash he is having. He wantes to showcase me as a "Featured" cake vendor. His party theme is "Peppermints and Gents". The invation is mainly red and white with a black bow tie and pepperments.
Could you please shar some possible ideas for decorating a cake? I will be doing a 5-7 tier "dummy" cake and could really use some help on how to put this theme into a cake.
Thanks in advance!!!
Rhonda
Tux themes are super classy. I love the bowties around the middle of the layers like this.

And a top hat as the top layer would be so cool.
For peppermint themes, I love the fondant ropes that are layered around the top tier of this cake, I would use this somewhere in the cake. You could also do the pepermint looking flowers all over and one on the brim of the top hat.
I love the scallops in this one.
These are ideas I would incorporate.
I did find this on google, but this is a really nice cake (hope it shows up): http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.dparkphotography.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/DParkPhotography-Peppermint-Wedding-Cake.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.dparkphotography.com/blog/2010/12/modern-christmas-meets-chic-peppermint-wedding/&h=370&w=555&sz=130&tbnid=M9A-x3HncOQNFM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=135&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dpeppermint%2Bthemed%2Bcake%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=peppermint+themed+cake&usg=__SBOsKIdiSagZewLpDEx_96Mx78E=&docid=13QEc21mVGXrBM&hl=en&sa=X&ei=GY23UKWnH5SB0AHtnoCQDg&ved=0CDkQ9QEwBA&dur=2905
