Hi :) I've been in business for a few months now, but have been buying things locally (boxes, boards, fondant etc) and from supermarkets for ingredients. I know some things are cheaper from the supermarket than from the local wholesale place but I wondered where people bought wholesale items like boxes/boards, fondant, chocolate, etc?? I think I need desperately to widen my profit margin!!

Thanks :)

Jenny

Hi ya,

You could try BFP Wholesale for things like Regal Ice and Cake Mixes etc (if you use them).....

Hi there, I get all my stuff from almondart www.almondart.com

They have a good range of products, are reasonably priced and if you order before 12 noon you can get next day delivery.

You can also enquire about a trade account which will give you a 20% discount. They have recently changed their policy on this though and you now have to order £250 worth of products to get the discount.

Quite a job if you are a small business although many items do have a very long shelf life and many freeze to extend this.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Amanda xx
