What about using your last name something like Kennedy's Cakes or Cakes By Kennedy

I have recently had a re brand for my business so I have gone from Venus Cakes to Amanda Macleod which will change over within the next few weeks.

you could consider using only your name as it is all about your cakes.

Also have a brainstorming session where you think of lots of cake stuff - cake, crumbs, party etc and you may find that inspiration springs from this.

Is there a Kennedy space centre? How about Kennedy Cake Centre - if no one has it.

Good luck, let us know what you decide on!

i would just do Jessica Kennedy Cakes and on your business cards have the CAKE letters be a bold maybe fancy capitol font and have the other letters be a soft cursive or something?? it looks really pretty and classy in ,y head........

AI like your screen name...when I first saw the post title (not even reading the body yet) I thought JessiCAKE's, JessiCAKE's Sweet Botique, JessiCAKE's Sweet Botique & Bakery(depending on what all you offer). It's unique, easy to say, easy to remember, etc. coming from experience in marketing, you want something catchy and simple. Anything long or hard to say, will make it harder for people to remember. Even if you went with the longer of these titles you can still be know/ remembered/ recognized using your name alone "JessiCAKE's. ;-)

I can even invision some really fun ways you can play with the logo and business identity.

AAbout the name being taken, just caeca see its used online doesn't nessisarily mean its not available professionally. In the US...Check with your local state/county to see about filing as "fictitious name" or "doing business as" in most cases this will secure the ame for your area...if you are planing to go LLC or INC and you want to trademark the name (no one can ate it then) check here http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe?f=tess&state=4004:9e6el7.1.1

AI love JessiCA KEnnedy Cake Center, with a tall 3 tier cake, vaguely shaped like a spaceshuttle or UFO :-)

ANo offense at all to those who like the Jessica Kennedy cake center...but it kinda sounds like a space museum or something...maybe Jessica Kennedy cake company? Or Jessica and company? :) I dunno..just spitballing... or how about. jessicakery?

AI'm a fan of the Jessicakes versions mentioned or Jessica Kennedy Cakes. As cute as jessiCA KEnnedy might look on a card, you need to keep in mind that you will be saying it out loud to others, on the phone and you want people to be able to repeat it. None of that really translates verbally, all others will hear is your name , which is fine since most people in the US recognize the name Kennedy! If you try to pronounce it by emphasizing the "cake" in Jessica Kennedy it will wind up confusing people. A new shop is just opening near me called Sweet Alchemy, as an example. I'll be very surprised if most people understand what that's about or can remember it ! Good luck ! Theresa
