I'm getting ready to order some High Ration shortening since I can't find it locally.  What is the difference between Sweetex and Sweetex Z?  Both say for cakes and icing.

AAs long as your state allows high ratio shortening I would order the regular sweetex it makes a better frosting in my opion

AThe Z stands for zero trans fats and there are a few states that you can not sell high trans fat food in. I know California is one such state

Agree with Kazita.  If you can get the transfats, use them.  they make better products in general.
