Can anybody tell me is it safe to put onion grass straight into cakes for decoration or should I use straws?

Thanks

I would put it into straws

It is made from the same plastic though as straws so do you think it would just be the same ? It just means that there would be little straws all hidden inside the cake :(

I googled onion grass and read up on it.....I just don't understand why you would want onion on your cake in the first place but each to its own

Kazita, I don't think onion grass is necessarily edible or gives off an "onion" taste to your cake. Like Mo63 said, just decoration...

its NOT real onion icon_razz.gif  also seen referred to as BEAR grass - but no bears on your cake either icon_wink.gif
it is an artificial product - probably poorly named

Its used as a filler in flower/starburst decorations on cakes

THIS is what OP is referring to ...... IF the pics are made from same plastic AS A STRAW...... why the need to use both??

Not saying this is so - just saying - this is what she is asking  :)     And a pretty valid question too
