hi i was wondering if  anyne has any tips on ho to make the windows of a car cake i did them once with black modeling chocolate but i want them to look like the real one any tips ????

AI did a carved car cake for my sons 2nd birthday. I frosted it in buttercream and for the windshield and windows I made it a very light gray. I think it turned out well. I don't know if that helps but that is what I did.

If you are using fondant, then you can paint in shading with food color mixed with clear alcohol. I did this with a lightning mcqueen cake. I put a layer of white fondant over the top first, then layered the red on top. Then i cut the openings for the windows so the white showed through.
