I am making a marshall amplifier cake. Chocolate cake 10" square 2 layers and 5"x10" 2 layers cake. With chocolate buttercream and covered with fondant. All details made of fondant. How much should I price a cake like this? I usually price it base on how many serving X 3.50 for fondant. Does that sounds fair?

Hello!

To price my cakes I usually work out the cost of my ingredients, down to the amount of fondant I am using to embellish the cake. Then I make sure I cover those ingredients. Its good to try and estimate how long it is going to take you to do it, and then charge yourself an hourly rate. Looking at a marshall amplifier, it is quite detailed and labour intensive so you would want to be charging in the hundres for sure.
