I started making a batch of Michele Foster's Fondant and did not check to see that I had enough glycerine. After melting the gelatin and adding everything else, I discovered I only had 1 Tbsp. of glycerine! I live in a tiny town and have no place to buy more. I did check the pharmacy and they didn't have it. What can I do? Will the recipe be ruined or can I knead it in later? Thanks in advance for the help.

It will be fine... you can knead some more in later if you need it, but it won't fail without it.

Well, I replied yesterday and thanked you, but now I don't see my post. In case it didn't send, I'll say again: thank you for responding. I would hate to think I wasted all those ingredients!

LOL... no problem at all!  i used to make it ALL the time and sometimes I just left the glycerine out all together if I didn't have it.  It was fine.  A tiny bit less smooth in the stretch, but very workable and it looked no different on the cake.
