So, my stepson is going to graduate this year from high school, and he has recently really got into DJ'ing. I would love to make a cake for him and his friends that looks like a DJ's turntable set up, but am having a hard time getting inspiration from the net. Has anyone ever created a cake like this? If so would you be willing to share your tips and tricks?

Thank you!!!!

I would just search Google images for  "DJ turntable" and choose a simple one. Its most likely a rectangle with 2 round turntables and lots of buttons and switches. Make a sheet cake and 2 short round cakes that will fit on top of the sheet cake with space in between. Make knobs, a needle arm, head phones and small records out of fondant or gumpaste. You could also make some round or rectangle speakers if you need more cake. HTH!
