I tried italian donizetti cake recipe in http://www.bestofbergamo.com/2010/09/just-dessert-for-composer-donizetti.html
Oven at 356 F, after 40 minutes, sides were burned , middle ring didn't cook, a small ring around inside opening was burned, middle uncooked part butter was boiling . when I reversed the cake pan and put it in a plate , liquid butter was all over the cake and inside the pan.
I need to make this cake right for my girl friends birthday , any idea?
Lower the oven temperature and cook for a bit longer. A metal flower nail in the center of the cake while baking also helps. Also, use "bake even strips" or cut a towel to fit around the sides of the pan, dampen it and pin it in place. It works really well!
