ASo last year I tried to replicate The Christmas Story leg lamp using PVC pipe as a support for the leg. EPIC FAIL! Any suggestions on how to make the rice crispy treats stick to the PVC pipe? I tried using royal icing,,but no luck, the treats just kept slipping off the pipe. Should I try something other than rice crispies?

Thanks in advance! Nicole

Modeling chocolate sticks nicely to PVC.  You could try a layer of that and then bulk it up with RKTs.

For use on PVC, I modify the rice treats recipe by omitting butter (makes treats less slippery) and use corn syrup to help them stick. You can view my tutorial here:

AThank you! Will def keep this in mind. I used the premade sheets of rice Krispy treats for a time saver. I'll try my own next time, leaving out butter!
