What do you think of the recent changes to CakeCentral? - Page 6

It is going to take some getting use to, like anything new. I think uploading photos is much better.  It is harder to get to many things--too many clicks. I think that can be alleviated with more choices on the drop down menus at the top. Like a drop-down under "Galleries" for "my photos". Although I figured it out (it is more round about than apparent), I like seeing how many have viewed a particular photo and he helps me gauge how eye-catching my own cakes are.

The site has more ways to customize views and overall that is a good thing. I just need to spend more time on figuring out how it works.

Thanks for taking the time to upgrade. The site works faster and smoother in Chrome and Firefox. The new IE not so much, but I can't get anything to work right in the new IE.

So in short, good job, but alleviate the number of steps/clicks to get to different areas and the site can go from good to great!

There's a search box at the top right corner of the site. Type your query there, hit enter, and click Gallery Images on the results page.

I've had compatibility issues with IE9 on several different web sites, the best solution I've found (for situations that require IE) was to uninstall IE9, which will automatically restore the previous IE version:

I'm just curious now. Do you have this screen?

Those are not all your photos? Note that Baby Shower has 23 of your photos and Children's Birthday Cakes has 54 of your photos too, etc. etc. You had more than all those?

can you please bring back the view count?  It really made the difference to see how many people looked at the cake whether or not the cake has any favorites.

thank you

View count is to the right of the cake (if you click on the cake). # of favorites is next to the Favorite button, including WHO count it into their favorites if you check out the arrow.

I am no longer a fan of cake central. I use to get on here daily and now i dread it because its so hard to find anything and figure things out. I will not be on here daily anymore, and i am finding better results with google now than cake central! which is a total shame.  very disappointed, from a once loyal site viewer..........................i am wasting precious time trying to figure this out, when i used to be able to get on here real quick on a break and find exactly what i need. now i cant find what i need for my cake deadlines. quite unhappy....

Yes I am legal. Now move on and bake..

How did you find your favorite recipes?  I'm so upset that I can't get to mine.

I was wanting to search for a specific type of cake so I could get some ideas...I can't seem to search a term anymore??!  All I wanted was pics based on the search words and I get forums, etc.  Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I"ve tried over and over and looked for another method and am just not finding it.  It shouldn't be this difficult!!  I loved the Old Cake Central!!  Now, I'm just frustrated and will have to just google the terms??

I just typed "Dora the Explorer" on the search tab.

It found me a lot of stuff. But on top it says "All", "Product", "Thread", "Gallery Image"

I clicked on Gallery Image and gave me hundreds of cakes with Dora the Explorer.

It is so confusing... It took me 20 minutes and searching to figure out how to get to my photos. still not sure how to get to favorites ????

Don't like it at all.

I don't know where some of my pictures went icon_sad.gif there were put in separate categories/folders that don't make sense at all and many of my pics are not there. ...also, there's comments that don't belong in my pics---nice comments though icon_smile.gif
