What do you think of the recent changes to CakeCentral? - Page 11

I am sorry you are not enjoying the new format, I know change takes getting used to.

 

There are actually less advertisements than on the prior layout and page loads are actually much faster for most users.

 

We are aware of the problem with the favorites, as it was mentioned earlier in the thread it is being worked on.

I'm wondering, jason_kraft, why you call getting e-mail notifications of posts and PMs a new feature. We've been getting them all along. The difference I see is that we get them in a digest now instead of individually, which makes me happy because I hate to see a lot of clutter in my inbox. Are you referring to something else entirely that I'm not catching onto yet?

 

That's my favorite feature too. When you subscribe and you choose "Immediately" to get immediate notifications, you get sent an email with the full post (just like before), but now you can read right there in your email window. No need to come back to the site, unless you want to.

 

There are actually a few choices. There's also the "no email" if you want to come back here periodically and check your updates on your own.

With the old platform you would get an email telling you a thread had been updated, but now it includes the text of the new post directly in the email so you don't have to visit the site unless you want to reply.

I have threads that I follow set to email me every time there is a new response, even if I haven't checked the thread since the last response (which you couldn't do before), that way I can follow any number of new posts via email instead of on the site. There's no additional email clutter because gmail consolidates all emails for a topic in a single conversation.

It is not user friendly.

It's a lot more helpful if you say specifically what you don't like about the new site compared to the old one.

I uploaded my first photo since the changes...and it ended up in a default folder..what is that and since I can not delete it...what to do?

My only problem is jumping back to the beginning after clicking on a NEW photo instead of going back to the page I was on. Everything else seems to be fine.

 

I am patient & know all the kinks will be worked out eventually. CC is still the best!

I had way more pics of my cakes before. Don,t know where they are or how to find them. Does anyone know?

I agree with everyone else!!!!!  Go back to the old way.  I dont like the new way!!  :(:(:(:(:(

Somtimes there is no favorites button.( the little heart) and the arrows dont work when im on my computer to look at the next picture. I can no longer add pictures from my phone. I dont like my pictures in albums on my gallery. I really dont mind change if its for the better. I just personally liked the old site format better.
