I don't like how the home page doesn't have topics from different decorators asking for help..as I feel that it should be on home page for others to see right away, instead of having to dig into the site to find most recent posts.  Also, I don't like how our pics don't just pop up as it's MORE work to dig our pics to see how many viewed it and if it was favorited it at all. I don't like the new update at all :(..too hard now

I can't find where to search for specific cake pics either!!! Grrrrrrrrr!  I'm looking for Polar Express ideas and I don't see where to type this for a search.  I DO NOT want to search in the forums for comments - I want PICS!!! Help please!! I'm getting frustrated!

I am having the same problem!!!! What is the solution!!! dang I want to search for car cakes and get something about forums.....This site was so much better 2 upgrades ago!!  I am okay with change if the change is better.....but this is not good or helpful anymore.  Two upgrades ago we could search our favorites that was taken away now this....I dont know what to do.

 

On the Cake Central home page, in the upper right, there is a search box. Type in "polar express" and click on the magnifying glass. In the results, you will see

All (88)   Thread (39)    Gallery Image (49)  Click on Gallery Image and you will see the pictures.

I agree with Jencreativity.... I like the questions that all of us decorators ask and was always on home page. Now (i can,t sign in on home page. Have to go all around to get to it). All my post are showing at bottom of home page and in upper right hand corner is my messages. go tell!! I assume it will all be handled soon.

I can NOT click on "MY FAVS" because it is covered by something else. It is covered by a purple strip that has "subscriptions", "new messages" and my sign in name and "log out". I can log out and get rid of that info. strip but then of course since I'm logged out, "my favorite's" does not show up.  I can not do anything with this new website. For me it is a complete disaster! Not one new feature works for me.

 

I have the same problem, but I'm able to click on just the word "MY" to see my favorites...

arrows still dont work for me... i know i am complaining alot but this site is very important to me. may sound silly but half the fun of doing a cake is to put it on cake central and see if anyone likes it. kinda like showing off your art work. i love looking at everyones cakes and giving alot of encouragement to my fellow cakers in the world of cake. but the new site changes make it very hard to do.my main complaint is the galley. i use to be able to type in just what i was looking for and find wonderful ideas. now it is a chore to find say a white cake with purple rose and swirls..... i find i am using google instead of cake central.....

Please, please fix the search gallery!!!! I have an IPAD & see nothing but black & grey lines when I do search a photo as directed above. CC is almost useless now & I used to spend HOURS on here. Please fix problem soon or go back to the way it was:-(

I agree! This new updated website is blah..and really sad now..because if I want to see MY forum posts, I can look it up or MY messages,,but I don't need to see this on the home page..it's too all over the place now and before , it was pleasant..with new posts that ppl don't like to search as it was so nice for it to be on homepage.

I wish we can just go back to the same old weeks ago prior to this update..It looks like a lot of ppl are unhappy with this and would hope it can get back to easy searching like the old way eventually..otherwise, i also go under google search engine more now..sad..

ALSO! I looked at my favorite recipes list and cannot go past page 1,as I have a lot of recipes saved from awhile back and need that recipe back..and if I search it,,I can't remember exact details of recipe!  So frustrated!

LOVEEE the new updates! Wayyyyy better than the last updates. ill definitely be back more often now! Thanks guys your doing a great job

you can change the home page to see the new post instead of your post, just unclick the subscription box. simple and easy

I am finding this new layout a pain. I haven't uploaded for ages again because just trying to upload 1 picture is loads of steps now, then it keeps coming up image/album not found. Such a shame, I LOVED this site, it was my favourite to use and now I can't be bothered to add pictures because I don't have time to keep retrying to add just 1 picture. This morning I have tried 6 times to add a picture and it keeps failing :-( such a shame, I have heard quite a few others complain and say they can't be bothered to upload anymore either. Can you not revert to old version of uploading?
