I have a cake due Sunday morning. Most of my family has been struck with a stomach bug. So far I have been spared. Can I safely make this cake with out contaminating the people who eat it!? I always use gloves and my work stations are cleaned and sanitized before each use. Are there other precautions I can use it should I go ahead and call my customer??

As long as you are *really* extra careful about cleaning and sanitizing your work area and you make sure that sick people stay away from the cake - it should be fine.
If you are healthy, there is no reason not to proceed. If you do feel sick at all though, do not make the cake. I would not work on a cake while sick.

I would totally not do it. By the time one actually contracts the virus, it's been in the body for 24 to 48 hours.
If I were the customer, there is no way I would want a cake which had been prepared in that environment.
