Hi!! Hoe you make your cake tasting?

Do you offer sample of cakes with balls ok samples icing?
Do you offer sample of mini portion of cakes?

And if you have pre-set flavors, do you offer many flavors that you ask at the client want he want to taste ans then you just take the portion out of the frozen? (Exemple: if you offer 15 differents flavors, you cannot put 15 slices of cakes in a plate, it's too much! loll)

Let me know!!

Bake the cake batter in mini-cupcake pan for tastings.

Give 5 flavours of cake and 6-7 flavours of filling/icing total. Place the items on a white dinner plate in separate balls so that the client can mix and match.

You can also design profiles: these are preset lists of which flavours you will assemble onto the plate. For example, one cake profile would be white, golden butter, chocolate, hazelnut, almond. Fillings/icings like vanilla, chocolate, mocha, lime, raspberry, almond.

Remember that the customer will need 15 minutes to taste this set of samples. They should be at 60F/15C to taste best.

You can then offer your specialty items like pistachio and apricot and white chocolate at a separate time for a different price.

Here is an example of a tasting plate that I think is well put together. It's from the website andeatittoo

Your client can make their own selection of cake, filling and icing while the labels will help keep it organized.

Many people do things differently. Some people use any extra batter to make samples. Then, clients get to taste whatever they have.

Personally, I do things very differently. I do not have a display case. All of my desserts are made to order. For consultations, my clients choose two flavor combinations (cake, filling, & frosting). I make two 6" four layer round cakes. This way, they get to see exactly how the cake & filling look. They also get to taste the flavors they are most interested in purchasing.

I also offer additional sample cakes for $15 each.
