OK, ??? about Rich's Whipped Topping vs. Bettercream

I just purchased a case of Rich's Whipped Topping (12 quarts) frozen, and want to know the difference in it and Bettercream.

I am assuming the Rich's needs to be refrigerated at any point, either decorating cupcakes, or adding to an existing recipe?

Does the Bettercream need to be refrigerated also?
I can get this, but I'm not sure.

If anyone can shed some additional light on this, by all means, share your thoughts.

I have used both versions of this at my day job and to me they are the same thing with the exception being one comes in quarts that you have to whip yourself and the other a giant bucket already whipped. You do not have to keep them refrigerated as they both contain no dairy. HTH!

Thank you so much Christine! I always wondered tho why the Rich's in quarts says "Keep Frozen" and then also says "Must be refrigerated", when there is no dairy in it at all.

Refrigeration is about more than just dairy.

Some products have to be refrigerated to prevent yeasts from growing in the sugar/water in the mixture.

And we all know that the air of many bakeries is FULL of yeasts just looking for some food...
