OP is asking about BETTERCREME, not buttercream--2 completely different types of icing.
Bettercreme is a commercially made whipped icing that contains a lot of liquid and air. It reacts completely differently than does a buttercream, so info on buttercream is not at all applicable to Bettercreme.
