Hi everyone!

I have a full weekend ahead. Mini cupcakes for the school carnival, full size cupcakes for a client then 2 Boston Creme pies, one for a family dinner and one for a client, followed up with a week that includes a kids "boat" cake and a clients Mah Jong cake for her husband. In there somewhere is my own birthday and then my birthday party next weekend. FULL week.

How is everyone else doing?

Mmmm Boston Creme Pie! I'm working on a 4 tier for a 10 year anniversary/vow renewal. It's going to be a late night... DH brought home a bottle of wine for tonight, but I think it would make my piping skills mad crazy - and NOT in a good way icon_lol.gif No wino till cake is done-o.

3 huge wedding cakes and a groom's cake finished. At 4:00 I only had one baby shower cake to finish. It's STILL not finished. I swear, every time I wind up taking a birthday or baby shower cake I wind up taking a bath on it! icon_eek.gif

No cakes this weekend!! My husband has the weekend off (which is a rarity) so we're spending it together and cake free!! Next weekend will be another story! I have a 3 tier birthday cake with along with a smash cake and a dozen cupcakes. Not a real exciting design, but it's what the customer wants (to match her invites). Also a 50th birthday cake in the works...but not many details on that one yet. Hoping it's going to be something fun!

Have a great weekend! icon_smile.gif

I'm working on the gumpaste pieces for a baby shower cake that still a week out. The shower theme is "A Baby is Brewing" and I have a teacup almost done, baby's head and hands (to peek out of the teacup) done, and miniature ribbon roses done. I want to get the teacup details and baby in it done this weekend. Next weekend will be really busy, as this is a pretty big order for me. The cake, 4 dozen baby boy cookies (like the ones in my gallery) and 4 dozen meringue swirls in lemon and lime.

Just finished a 60 person class reunion cake, and two wedding cakes. My legs are throbbing and I'm watching TV to unwind.

Sounds like everyone has been really busy...but do enjoy any weeks off you end up with! Our 25th Anniversary Party is the week after this one and, yes, I'm making the cake. Then I get a week off. We are running away for a few days to celebrate and then taking the rest of the week off work! I'm SO looking forward to it!

Sorry I haven't been around much tonight...a friend of ours got his 8th degree black belt tonight so we were at his ceremony for awhile. I kept checking in on here via my phone from time to time.

Did I mention this was a full weekend!? LOL!

Saturday afternoon here in Oz, My Friday night was spent doing a Thank you cake for the Bunnings Staff , as our cake decorating Club had the Sausage Sizzle there today. So I smell like sausages and onions as I worked there all morning selling Sausage Sangas ( sandwiches ) to everyone picking up their hardware and gardening needs.

Bunnings is great it supplies the BBQ stand and we just have to buy the supplies and clean up . They even set it all up for us. Any non profit organisation or charity can apply to run the stand .

They were very appreciative of the 10 inch Square mudcake that I presented to them this morning too.

I did bake some of a wedding cake that I have coming up , I have a horror week on the horizon so I am trying to get ahead with the baking and flowers so it will just be assembly and covering.
I did do a demonstration on Peonies on Monday night and will teach two workshops on them in the coming weeks.

That is about it for me .
Happy caking.
