Hello to all! I made MMF today for the first time and I discovered something that will reduce the mess! The first batch I followed the recipe exactly adding two tablespoons of water to the marshmellows. It took be about 45 min from start to finish, and it made a very big mess. Then in the second batch I decided to only add 1/2 a tablespoon of water. That made a HUGE difference. I was able to mix in most of the PS while the marshmellow was still in the bowl. I also did most of the kneading in the bowl and when it was about done I went ahead and kneaded it on the counter with PS and crisco. This only took me 15 mins to complete.

Great tips!
I take it a step further...

I don't add ANY water to my MMF,........ it makes it a sticky mess...and I knead the entire amount of PS right in the same large bowl I melted the MM's in...

(I put the bowl in my empty kitchen sink, hold it with one hand, and knead with the other).

FlourPots, what a great tip! I'm going to do that next time I make MMF. No water and in the kitchen sink, thanks!
