Sorry, we can't help, no one can. Mickey is a copyrighted character. Can't touch it.

"You love fondant"?

Get yourself one of the many online or printed pictures of the character you want to reproduce. Work from that.

Don't know how to make it 3D? Take some fondant and start playing with it.

Support system will be key. You need a plate and pillars (of some sort) for every 4" of cake height.

Check out Bronwen Weber's standing figure support system sold by Caljava

http://www.caljavaonline.com/cakestudy1-bman-lg.htm

Cake is from the hips to the shoulders with arms, legs, and head sculpted with modeling chocolate (her favorite medium) or RKT covered in fondant.

Maybe a Mickey made from PVC pipe and covered in fondant standing on some stacked cakes. Good luck and can't wait to see what you'll do!

Really? She said she was making it for a friend, not for profit.

Wasn't there a recent topic posted about "if you have nothing nice to say..don't say anything at all"?

I can't help w/ making a stand up character..but go for it! I'm sure you'll find lots of ideas on here.

Also...Dont knock someone wanting to make a copyrighted image in cake...especially if you have one in your very own photo album....
