not really into fondant although it would be great for decorations. Anyone have any cute cake ideas to share and thanks.

How about an empty cake board for the invisible man?
I'm just being a berk 
You could make a sheet cake and decorate it like a comic book, make each scene out of fondant on a little fondant square and then lay them on at the end, google "how to draw manga comics" and you'll find some funky ideas for layouts and then design your own superhero comic strip it will be great!
