I have a halloween cupcake challenge where i work coming up. I am looking for decoration ideas on what I can do. I already have the flavor which will be a pumpkin caramel latte cupcake. I am familiar with the cupcake challenge show but I have not seen it in a long time b/c I do not have cable. So any decoration ideas would be greatly appreciated. I want something over the top, I am looking to win. I would love to get first place. For the challenge there will be three judges so I have to make three cupcakes halloween related. I can make things way in advance like fondant figures to put on the cupcake for Oct 31.

How many will you have to make in a certain time slot?

There are tons of things people can suggest, but they need to know the time and quantity

I have always loved the with falling in. So it will only show witch legs and shoes sticking out of the top of the cupcake. You can do witch hats, bats, gravestones, broomsticks, black cats, fankensteins. There are so many cute ideas. You should look in CC for Halloween cupcakes. HTH

hi there
so i had a couple of ideas...
- i no that u already have a flavor for your cupcake but i reckon it would be cool if you put jam or jelly or gooey red stuff so when they bit into it it is like blood..
-well u get some white candy floss and make it really thin and it put it on top like cobwebs and then add some fondant figurines..
- if you where doing the candy floss cobwebs you could make a scary zombie hand and stick it in as if it was rising from the dead?
- you could make sculls out of modling chocolate and have worms and bugs crawling out of the eyes?
i hope this helped..! icon_razz.gif

The witch falling in the cupcake is such a cute idea !!
Also you can do a "broken glass" cupcake. Using simple sugar work, making it look like glass. Putting it on top of the cupcake with "blood" pouring down the glass (raspberry filling or a simple corn syrup recipe will do).
You could also make a torso incorperating the cupcake with the decorations, with a red filling in the center for blood to oozo out

These might be too gory, but they're my favorite Halloween cupcakes: http://pinklittlecake.blogspot.com/2010/10/halloween-seriesday-28-marzipan-finger.html

Scroll down...aren't they realistic looking?
(Sugar Delites sells a mold to make the finger..it was in this months newsletter: http://www.jenniferdontz.com/Severed-Finger-By-Jennifer-Dontz_p_1436.html)

Hi there, I have a few Halloween designs in my fb page. They're pretty simple but effective. Not sure they'd be good enough to win though. Would still like your opinion anyway icon_redface.gif
