Fondant Cake Topper Help

Hello All,

I have been asked to make a Diva cake for someone and they want this on top of the cake (picture attatched). The letters are madeof fondant and they are dry. Now that I looked at them I should have added something to make them really stand out. Is it to late to add dragees or some kind of sprinkles to them. Would I be able to brush the tops with water and then add them or any suggestions that can make these look better. The cake is going to be pink and black. Thanks for everyones input.

You can add to it. I would use a bit of Royal icing or butter cream for the dragees not water.

you can also put some pink fondant through a clay extruder to get a small rope,and wrap around the edges of the letter's with some edible glue.

Thanks for the input. I seen something that had disco dust on it. Has anyone used it before? I guess I'm trying to go for a sparkly effect, hopefully it's not to late to achieve it.

If you just dry brushed some luster on the letters, it will sparkle.

I have a cake cricut and I like to shadow letters. You could do this in a different color and slightly set the letter forward to create this effect. You can look at my Minnie Cake and Baseball cake in my gallery to see a shadowed letter. I like them far better and it is extra trouble, but looks so much better in my opinion. Thanks,Joni

You can add disco dust after fondant has dried; I've done it on cookies. Mix a little tylose with water, brush it where you want the disco dust and then put it in front of a fan to dry. (This may not be necessary where you are, but it's very humid here and I'm always afraid the fondant will get soft if I want - forever - for the moisture to evaporate.)

3D-Sweets is right,just put your edible glue where you want the disco dust to be,sprinkle on the disco dust and tap off the excess and let it dry. i'v use it before on my number toppers. i just make sure to tell my friends not to eat it,just take it off when thier ready to cut.
