Hello,

So I have a friend who wants this cake done in pink for her 'supermom'

http://www.creativecakesbykim.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/DSC02557.jpg

My question is, how do I go ahead about baking this cake without wasting so much cake. What size cake should I bake to feed 40 people? I usually do cakes with 3 layers of cake and 2 layers of filling... so should I bake square? Circle?

Please help!

S.

What if you use a 14 " square pan, torte it so you have two layers of cake and one layer of filling. Cut a triangle off one corner of the cake. Maybe take a piece of scratch paper cut to the size of the cake and play with it to see how much to cut off. I think if you make a two layer it would take away from the design. HTH
